An Exclusive: No One Is Telling You About Talent...

Welcome to the electrifying world of the talent competition, where dreams take center stage and passion knows no bounds! Today, we are going on a quick journey of creativity, inspiration, and sheer talent that will leave us all in awe.

If you watch Song shows like American Idol, The Voice, or my new fave, Masked Singer then, you have seen the judges tell people I need you to connect, feel the lyrics, make me feel something. And have you noticed this advice is almost always given to someone doing a slow sad song and rarely does any judge critique a fun upbeat performance. Why is this you ask? Because it is easier to connect to the fun than the sad.

Let's jump in and talk about it: the power of emotion in the talent competition. You see, judges aren't just impartial beings; they're people just like us. They laugh, they cry, and yes, they feel! And guess what happens when they're happy? The scores reflect that joy! Happy people just don't give bad scores, do they?

Have you ever been unhappy in a Mexican Restaurant, Mariachi music is happy so probably not. Think about when you're at a dance or club, a fun song is about to be played and you notice the crowds fill the dance area. But when a love song

or sad song is on people leave the floor. Or in the car driving you crank up those fun songs and sing along so loud the people 4 cars away can hear you. Well those feeling are the same feelings you want to stir up in your judges.

But you are feeling like you want to pay tribute to someone... while heartfelt performances have their place, they're not always the golden ticket to success. And should be saved for after you win. Sure, we all have those deeply personal pieces that tug heartstrings, whether it's a tribute to a loved one or a nostalgic homage to cherished memories. But let's face it: what's heartfelt to you might not necessarily resonate with everyone else. That generally will not translate to others. Consider this, science proves happy songs produce endorphins and other chemicals in our brains that make us feel happy called Dopamine, released when we experience something enjoyable or satisfying. It's involved in motivation, learning, and reinforcement of behaviors. Serotonin, It helps regulate mood, appetite, and sleep, here's why it is important to you, it plays a role in reducing stress and anxiety. And Oxytocin,

known as the "bonding hormone," oxytocin is released during social bonding activities such as hugging, kissing, or spending time with loved ones. Has been known to exist during times of happiness in being around people that make us happy It promotes trust, empathy, and connection. So, scientifically you want the judges happy.

However, if you're going to pull off the unimaginable, if you're going to dive into that heartfelt performance, you better bring your A-game. Sell it to us, not just in emotion, but in execution. Your talent must shine brighter than the North Star, captivating the audience from the very first note to the final bow. You better be good!! And not just ok but so good.

And let's not forget about presentation! Your costume should be a showstopper, the talk of the town, the best darn thing they've seen all day. This would include hair and make-up. Because hey, when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, magic happens!

So, lovely talent hopefuls as we take to the stages this summer, let's remember one thing: it's better to stick with fun and toe-tapping than to drown in a sea of

tears. Let's light it up with our energy, our enthusiasm, and our undeniable talent. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, we'll leave the judges not just impressed, but downright ecstatic!

Now, let's go out there, take those stages with force and show the world what you're made of! The spotlight awaits, and your moment is now!
