The safety and well-being of Miss Tourism Titleholders is a top priority. As visible representatives of the Miss Tourism brand, titleholders are encouraged to enjoy appearances, social media engagement, and public visibility while also practicing awareness, boundaries, and personal responsibility.

This information is designed to help titleholders stay safe, confident, and protected—both online and in person.

1. General Safety Principles
All titleholders should:

Trust their instincts at all times.

Prioritize personal safety over appearances, content, or obligations.

Remember that no appearance, post, or opportunity is worth risking safety.

Maintain clear personal boundaries while remaining professional and gracious.

Titleholders should attend events with someone who is capable and aware of how to get you out of a situation quickly that feels unsafe.
If a situation feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or inappropriate, titleholders are encouraged to remove themselves immediately.

2. Appearance & Event Safety
When attending appearances, events, or public engagements:

Share appearance details (location, time, contact person) with a trusted individual.

Whenever possible, attend appearances with a parent, guardian, chaperone, or trusted companion.

Create a safe word you can use when you feel unsafe and have a plan.

It is recommended titleholders use an alias to protect their identity.

Avoid attending private or unfamiliar locations alone.

Confirm event details in advance, including parking, entrances, and exit times.

Do not post on social media about the event until it is over.

Do not remain at events longer than agreed upon if conditions change or discomfort arises.

Dress appropriately for the venue while ensuring footwear and attire allow for safe movement.
Titleholders are never required to stay at an appearance that becomes unsafe or uncomfortable.

Avoid rides from individuals you do not personally know or trust.

Titleholders should:

Post photos and videos after leaving a location, when possible.

Never share home addresses, personal phone numbers, or private schedules directly online or in social media.

Never offer your address to anyone online, including on the Tourism Pages, Tourism Group.

Use privacy settings wisely.

Be cautious when responding to direct messages from unknown individuals.

Never feel obligated to respond to inappropriate or uncomfortable messages.
Any threatening, harassing, or concerning online behavior should be blocked, documented, and reported.

Do not engage in online arguments, harassment, or confrontations.
