​​Title Holders Code of Conduct

Official Titleholder Code of Conduct**

Holding a Miss Tourism title is an honor, responsibility, and leadership role. Titleholders serve as ambassadors of the Miss Tourism Pageant and are expected to represent the organization with professionalism, grace, and integrity throughout their reign.

This Code of Conduct applies exclusively to all appointed and crowned Miss Tourism titleholders at the local, state, national, and world levels.

1. Role & Responsibility of a Titleholder

As a Miss Tourism titleholder, you agree to:

  • Act as a positive role model and ambassador at all times.

  • Uphold and promote the Miss Tourism Pageant, its mission, values, and image of Miss Tourism Pageants.

  • Represent the organization with confidence, respect, and professionalism in all settings.

  • Understand that your behaviour reflects not only on you, but on the entire Miss Tourism brand.

2. Professional Conduct & Behavior

Titleholders must:

  • Conduct themselves with dignity, respect, and maturity.

  • Do not concern yourself with others. What others are or are not doing.

  • Demonstrate courtesy toward Directors, staff, sponsors, fellow queens, contestants, and the public.

  • Follow all rules, contracts, schedules, and instructions provided by Miss Tourism leadership.

  • Maintain ethical standards in appearances, competitions, and communications.

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind

  • Disrespectful or disruptive conduct

  • Public arguments or confrontations 

  • Any behavior that may damage the organization’s reputation

3. Appearance, Presentation & Image Standards

Titleholders are expected to:

  • Maintain a polished, elevated, and professional appearance at all official appearances and events.

  • Dress a step above the crowd at all times — you are representing royalty, not a tourist.

  • Ensure attire, grooming, and styling align with Miss Tourism’s elevated image.

  • Wear crown and sash appropriately when representing Miss Tourism Pageants.

  • Care for and protect official regalia.

4. Social Media, Public Statements & Digital Presence

Titleholders must:

  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and brand-aligned online presence.

  • Use social media to promote Miss Tourism, tourism initiatives, and community involvement.

  • Post only accurate information. Be sure you sending an honest image. No IA Photos!

Titleholders may not:

  • Publicly criticize Miss Tourism Pageants, Directors, staff, sponsors, judges, or fellow titleholders.

  • Engage in online disputes, harassment, or negative commentary.

  • Share internal matters, disputes, or confidential information.

  • Misrepresent the organization or its leadership.

5. Branding, Logos & Intellectual Property

Titleholders may not:

  • Create, print, sell, or distribute merchandise using Miss Tourism logos, titles, crown images, or branding without written permission.

  • Alter logos, fonts, colors, or official branding elements.

  • Use Miss Tourism branding in any way that misrepresents, embarrasses or otherwise goes against the brand or the organization.

All branding and intellectual property remain the sole property of Miss Tourism Pageants.

6. Appearances, Participation & Availability

Titleholders agree to:

  • Be active and visible throughout their reign.

  • Attend required pageant events, appearances, meetings, and promotional activities.

  • Participate in interviews, photos, videos, and promotional content when requested.

  • Communicate promptly and professionally with Directors and leadership.

7. Conduct With Sponsors, Media & the Public

Titleholders must:

  • Speak positively and professionally when representing Miss Tourism.

  • Honor sponsor relationships and appearance commitments.

  • Seek approval before representing Miss Tourism in media appearances not arranged by the organization. Unauthorized endorsements or misrepresentation of partnerships are prohibited.

8. Confidentiality & Chain of Communication

Titleholders must:

  • Keep internal communications and organizational matters private.

  • Address concerns through appropriate leadership channels.

  • Refrain from discussing internal matters publicly or on social media.

Public airing of grievances is considered a violation of this Code.

9. Compliance With Pageant Policies & Agreements

Titleholders agree to:

  • Follow all Miss Tourism contracts, rulebooks, title guides, and policies.

  • Maintain eligibility requirements throughout their reign.

10. Violations & Disciplinary Action

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Miss Tourism Leadership will address violations privately and one-on-one with the titleholder whenever possible.

  • Titleholders will receive a direct message or email outlining the nature of the violation and any required corrective action.

  • Titleholders may be given a reasonable timeframe to correct or remedy the issue, if applicable.

Any time guidance is given, it is done with care and purpose—to help maintain alignment with the Miss Tourism brand while also supporting personal growth. This is never about being unkind, calling someone out, or creating discomfort. We recognize that there is a learning curve, and we truly value each contestant and titleholder as part of our community. Learning how to receive feedback with confidence and professionalism is a valuable life skill that extends far beyond pageantry and into careers, leadership, and everyday life. Our intention is always to help you grow, improve, and succeed—both within Miss Tourism and in all that you pursue beyond it.

11. Titleholder Acknowledgment

By accepting and holding a Miss Tourism title, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with this Titleholder Code of Conduct.

Adherence to these standards is a condition of holding and maintaining a Miss Tourism title.

Reporting & Communication Expectations

Miss Tourism encourages direct, respectful communication and maturity when confronted with an issue. 

  • Miss Tourism does not support gossip, tattling, or reports made out of personal conflict, misunderstanding, or emotion.

  • Improper or unnecessary reporting can create legal and ethical complications for all parties involved.

  • When a report is made, Miss Tourism Leadership will address the matter transparently and will disclose the source of the report. T

  • Individuals who choose to report concerns should be prepared to stand behind their statements professionally and responsibly.

We  expect all Tourism Families to act in accordance of kindness at all times.
