
The Miss Tourism Costume
Costume Competition —
Each delegate will have the opportunity to showcase her public speaking skills in this quite unusual event. Contestants will choose something unknown to the rest of the world about their area. They will create a costume around that unknown. This is one event that will sure to be riveting. Attire is always bold and ornate—whatever best expresses your individuality and flair. Accessories are encouraged to enhance your look. Contestants may have props, if they alone can carry them on and off stage. Denim attire is not permitted, as we want each ensemble to shine in a polished, stage-ready presentation.
This one event you want to get elaborate. Even if depicting a person. Get creative make a costume from what your person is known for. A Singer be a microphone, a racecar driver be a checker flag, a tire, or fire depicting speed.
The Costume Competition is your chance to have fun, be imaginative, and let your personality shine through every detail—from fabric and design to movement and confidence on stage. Judges are looking for an actual costume, creativity, cohesion, and the speech that makes it all come together. Through confidence you will carry while wearing your chosen ensemble.
This is your moment to WOW, entertain and showcase your creativity and speaking ability. Perform with confidence, personality, and passion as all eyes are on you.

All presentations will take place on CENTER STAGE. in front of the stage. When your name is called, confidently move to your chosen starting position. (costumes too large to go backstage may be completed on the floor in front of the stage)

Conclude your presentation with confidence—strike a strong final pose, acknowledge the audience with a smile, and exit the stage with poise and professionalism.


Costume Competition —
ATTIRE & RULES

Contestant must be able to maneuver without assistance.

Contestant is the only person allowed on or back stage

The presentation time must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 45 seconds. Timing begins the moment the contestant starts speaking.

Upbeat Music will play as the contestant enters the stage

Props are permitted; however, contestants must be able to carry all props on and off the stage unassisted.

The costume and speech is to tie each together about something that is unknown to your title area. The Miss Tourism Pageant reserves the right to disallow any costume that the director or hotel deems unsafe.

The Costume Competition is intended for entertainment and creative expression only. It is not a platform for political messaging, activism, or taking a stand on social or political issues. Costumes and presentations should remain respectful, family-friendly, and aligned with the spirit of the pageant.

The presentation must be memorized no cards, electronic devices permitted during this performance

Make-up is allowed for all age groups, as long as it is keeping in theme with the outfit and/or performance and is age appropriate
