Hello Beautiful Friends; a few years back we had a scary situation at the hotel.
That situation has caused us to re-evaluate what we we're doing. In an effort to keep our contestants and their families safe Miss Tourism is NOT open to the public. Threats like domestic abuse, trafficking and more in this world have led us to this decision. Not every family has the luxury of peace. We aim to bring peace to their weekend.
Our goal is to give our contestants and families a fun stress free weekend without fear of outsiders causing issues, safety or mental. When girls get tickets for the event they must list by full name those attending from her family. If a name is not on the list, no amount of yelling will get you on that list. These situations also have us not mentioning last names. Now we can't make a parent stop using their children's last names.
In further measure of safety NO ONE except the professional photographer is permitted to photograph inside the ballroom.
This is a strictly enforced policy. No photos or videos are allowed unless it's done by our official photographer. We haven't started offering video services yet, but we're working on it! If you're caught sneaking photos or videos of our contestants, you'll be asked to leave. It might sound strict, but it's all to protect our contestants. Plus, it's a pageant rule, so even if a contestant wanted to, they couldn't give permission.
There is so much going on in this world, a pageant should be a safe and fun place to escape, unwind or just breathe, with new friends.
