WORLDS MISS TOURISM-

Title Holders Safety

The safety and well-being of Miss Tourism Titleholders is a top priority. As visible representatives of the Miss Tourism brand, titleholders are encouraged to enjoy appearances, social media engagement, and public visibility while also practicing awareness, boundaries, and personal responsibility.

This information is designed to help titleholders stay safe, confident, and protected—both online and in person.

1. General Safety Principles

All titleholders should:

  • Trust their instincts at all times.

  • Prioritize personal safety over appearances, content, or obligations.

  • Remember that no appearance, post, or opportunity is worth risking safety.

  • Maintain clear personal boundaries while remaining professional and gracious.

  • Titleholders should attend events with someone who is capable and aware of how to get you out of a situation quickly that feels unsafe.

If a situation feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or inappropriate, titleholders are encouraged to remove themselves immediately.

2. Appearance & Event Safety

When attending appearances, events, or public engagements:

  • Share appearance details (location, time, contact person) with a trusted individual.

  • Whenever possible, attend appearances with a parent, guardian, chaperone, or trusted companion.

  • Create a safe word you can use when you feel unsafe and have a plan.

  • It is recommended titleholders use an alias to protect their identity.

  • Avoid attending private or unfamiliar locations alone.

  • Confirm event details in advance, including parking, entrances, and exit times.

  • Do not post on social media about the event until it is over.

  • Do not remain at events longer than agreed upon if conditions change or discomfort arises.

  • Dress appropriately for the venue while ensuring footwear and attire allow for safe movement.

Titleholders are never required to stay at an appearance that becomes unsafe or uncomfortable.

3. Transportation & Travel Safety

  • Plan transportation ahead of time.

  • Avoid rides from individuals you do not personally know or trust.

  • Use well-lit, public parking areas.

  • Keep your phone charged and accessible.

  • Share travel plans with a trusted contact.

  • For overnight travel, ensure accommodations are safe, reputable, and approved when required.

4. Social Media Safety

Social media visibility is an important part of being a Miss Tourism Titleholder, but safety must always come first.

Titleholders should:

  • Avoid sharing real-time locations while at events. Always after the event

  • Post photos and videos after leaving a location, when possible.

  • Never share home addresses, personal phone numbers, or private schedules directly online or in social media.

  • Never offer your address to anyone online,  including on the Tourism Pages, Tourism Group.

  • Use privacy settings wisely.

  • Be cautious when responding to direct messages from unknown individuals.

  • Never feel obligated to respond to inappropriate or uncomfortable messages.

Any threatening, harassing, or concerning online behavior should be blocked, documented, and reported.

5. Online Boundaries & Professionalism

  • Keep all communication respectful and brand-appropriate.

  • Do not engage in online arguments, harassment, or confrontations.

  • Avoid oversharing personal struggles, private relationships, or sensitive information.

  • Direct pageant-related questions or issues to Directors or Leadership rather than handling them publicly.

  • Never wait to discuss anything at the Live Pageant.

6. Photography & Media Safety

  • Be aware of your surroundings during photo or video shoots.

  • Only work with photographers or media representatives you trust or who are approved when required.

  • Do not participate in shoots that make you uncomfortable or compromise your personal values.

  • Maintain possession of your personal belongings at all times.

  • If asked to pose or participate in something that feels inappropriate, politely decline.

7. Personal Boundaries & Interactions

Titleholders have the right to:

  • Decline physical contact such as hugs or photos if uncomfortable.

  • Say no to conversations or interactions that cross personal boundaries.

  • Remove themselves from situations that feel unsafe or inappropriate.

Respectful behavior is expected from everyone interacting with Miss Tourism Titleholders.

8. Emergency Situations

In the event of an emergency:

  • Contact local emergency services immediately if needed.

  • Reach out to a trusted individual.

9. Acknowledgment of Responsibility

While Miss Tourism provides guidance, education, and support, titleholders acknowledge that:

  • They participate in appearances and activities at their own discretion.

  • Personal safety decisions ultimately rest with the titleholder (or parent/guardian for minors).

  • Practicing awareness, boundaries, and preparedness is an essential life skill that extends beyond pageantry.

Final Note

Miss Tourism believes confident women are informed women. Learning to navigate public spaces, visibility, and leadership with safety and grace is a powerful skill that will serve titleholders throughout their lives—long after their reign ends.
