The Photogenic Competition is a required competition and gives contestants the opportunity to showcase personality, natural expression, and the ability to make a strong first impression through a submitted photo. This area also helps contestants begin understanding what it means to look polished, confident, and press-ready as a Miss Tourism titleholder.

Contestants do NOT wear her crown and sash in these photogenic photos.

Photos will be submitted electronically through a designated portal by the official Photogenic submission deadline of May 1, 2027. Photos should be age-appropriate, with natural or light retouching only, and may be submitted in color or black and white.

Contestant get one photo with their entry, but may submit up to 4 total photos at an addition fee. All submitted photos will be scored, and the highest-scored photo for each delegate will be used. Present yourself with confidence, authenticity, and the kind of presence that represents the Miss Tourism crown with pride.

What will the judges look for?

Overall Impression
The photo should create a strong, positive first impression and reflect confidence,

warmth, and natural presence.

Personality & Expression

The contestant should appear comfortable, polished, and engaging in front of the camera.

Age-Appropriateness
Wardrobe, styling, makeup, pose, and overall presentation should be appropriate for

the contestant’s age division.

Quality & Clarity
Photos should be clear, well-lit, and visually polished without heavy editing.

Press Ready

Photo should give us a glimpse into how the contestant might appear in press photos,

appearances and challenge photos.
