Setting up FAQs
The Miss Tourism Pageants competition process begins when a contestant applies for a local, state, national, or international title. Once accepted, contestants receive information about their division, titleholder responsibilities, and opportunities to represent their title throughout the year.
Contestants are encouraged to make appearances, participate in community activities, promote tourism, and complete optional challenges that help them gain experience and visibility. Throughout their reign, contestants build confidence, communication skills, and community involvement while representing the Miss Tourism organization.
At the Worlds Miss Tourism Finals, contestants compete in four equally weighted areas: Interview, Impact & Introduction, Evening Gown, and Photogenic. Each area represents 25% of the contestant's overall score. Winners are selected based on their performance across all four phases of competition.
The Miss Tourism Pageants system welcomes both first-time and experienced contestants. The focus is on personal growth, positive representation, and what contestants accomplish throughout their year as a titleholder.
Miss Tourism offers opportunities for contestants to represent their title in their own communities throughout the year. Many titleholders complete appearances, service projects, and promotional activities locally, making it possible to participate without extensive travel before the Worlds Miss Tourism Finals.
Miss Tourism Pageants helps contestants develop leadership skills through community involvement, public speaking, appearances, media opportunities, and real-world experiences. Titleholders are encouraged to lead by example while building confidence, communication skills, and personal growth throughout their reign.
Miss Tourism Pageants welcomes contestants ages 7 and up. Divisions include Princess Ages 7-9, Pre-Teen Ages 10-12, Jr. Teen Ages 13-15, Teen Ages 16-18, Miss Ages 19-24, *Royal Ms. Ages 21-35, Prestige Ms. Ages 36-49, and Classic Ms. Ages 50 and up, providing opportunities for participants in a variety of age groups and life stages.
Miss Tourism Pageants welcomes contestants from Southern states including Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Interested contestants can apply online for available titles and competition opportunities.
Miss Tourism Pageants offers opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills, gain public speaking experience, make new connections, and represent your community. Contestants also enjoy personal growth, media opportunities, and the chance to compete for prestigious titles.
Girls could win an array of prizes including scholarships.
Miss Tourism Pageants offers age divisions for contestants ages 7 and up, including Princess Age 7-9, Pre-Teen Ages 10-12, Jr. Teen Ages 13-15, Teen Ages 16-18, Miss Ages 19-25, *Royal Ms. Ages 21-35, Prestige Ms. Ages 36-49, Classic Ms. Ages 50 and up. New York contestants are placed in the appropriate division based on their age and eligibility requirements.
